What is Luminary looking for in a new talent ?

We are looking for males & females ranging in ages of 5 years old to 100.   Yes, we meant 100 years of age.    We look for a variety of heights, shapes, ethnicities and talents. The local market is not just for the 5'9, 105# models.   Most of our work is for men & women within   an age range of 30-50.   Unfortunately, work for the children and teen market is very limited.

How to Become a Model:

If you are interested in being represented by Luminary, please mail 2 pictures along with a resume and talent resume if applicable, to our mailing address at P.O. Box 272, Liverpool, NY 13088.   Snap shots are acceptable.   Please include your name, phone number, height, weight & clothing size on the back of each picture.   If you would like these pictures returned to you, please include a self addressed, stamped envelope.

How am I notified if Luminary is going to represent me?

We will call you within 2-4 weeks of receiving your photos and inform you of the next new talent orientation.

Do you have an agency fee to join?

We do not charge a fee to join Luminary; however there is a very small one time website placement fee.   This one time fee is to place your agency approved pictures on to our website.   You may change these pictures twice a year with no additional fee.   We offer a reduced rate to our younger models ages up to 14.  

Can you recommend photographers/make up artists?

Yes, we do have photographers & make up artists that we can recommend; however, this does not mean that you are obligated to obtain their services.

Does Luminary teach modeling classes?

No, we are not a modeling school.   We are a model & talent management company that assists you in obtaining work.

Can I join other agencies?

We are non-exclusive, which means that you may seek representation from other agencies.   When and if you are represented by Luminary, you are not an employee, but an independent contractor responsible for your own insurance, expenses and transportation. This also means that you can refuse any jobs that we may offer you.

If I live outside of NYS can I still join your agency?

Yes, we are currently seeking models in the northern PA, western VT & western MA to work in the NYS areas.
